Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Treatment
The Commission currently operates outpatient treatment units:
- Carbon County in Lehighton, PA as a functional unit of the Carbon-Monroe-Pike SCA
- Pike County in Milford, PA as a functional unit of the Carbon-Monroe-Pike SCA
The Outpatient treatment units are licensed by the PA Department of Drug & Alcohol Programs to provide individual and group counseling for those with substance abuse and dependency problems. The clinical staff is experienced in a variety of therapeutic modalities and provides treatment that is individualized to meet the particular needs of each person. These units are drug-free treatment programs. The Commission accepts most major healthcare insurance coverage plans, PA Medical Assistance and in those cases where the consumer has no third party healthcare coverage, a liberal sliding fee schedule is utilized. The length of service and type of outpatient service provided is based on the results of the Level of Care Assessment
There are currently three treatment protocols available:
- Outpatient
- Intensive Outpatient
- Contracted services for Partial Hospitalization
Therapy is provided in both Individual and Group counseling formats. The Outpatient department offers individual counseling for the family members of substance abusers to address co-dependent and enabling behaviors.
